Job summary

Mt. Juliet Tire Center Goodyear in Tennessee is seeking a Lead Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our team. You will diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle systems and lead junior technicians, ensuring high quality and timely service.

Qualifications

• 5+ consecutive years of automotive repair experience.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Experience with various makes and models, domestic and foreign.
• Have your own tools including diagnostic scan tool and a lab scope.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair drivability, brakes, emissions, steering and suspension, electrical, HVAC, and major engine repairs.
• Communicate honestly with the Service Manager about needed repairs.
• Maintain a professional, team-oriented work environment.
• Keep shop and work areas clean and organized.
• Attend and participate in store meetings.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diagnose and repair a wide variety of repairs, including but not limited to drivability, brakes, emissions, steering and suspension, electrical, maintenance services, HVAC, starting and charging, and major engine repairs
• Communicate effectively with the Service Manager an honest assessment of the needed repairs
• Maintain a professional working environment that encourages teamwork among colleagues
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop, equipment, and work areas
• Attend and participate in store meetings
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ consecutive years of automotive repair experience
• ASE certifications preferred
• High productivity and efficiency rate
• Experience with various makes and models both domestic and aisan
• Familiar with both Mitchell On Demand and Identifix software
• Have your own tools including a diagnostic scan tool and a lab scope
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to work Mon-Fri 7a-6p
• Ability to stand and work eight (8) to ten (10) hours per day
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to help others
