Job summary

Pep Boys in Lexington, SC is seeking a capable Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, lead a shop team, and educate customers on problems and proposed solutions for their vehicle.

The role requires 3+ years of automotive diagnostic experience, ASE certifications, a valid driver's license, and flexibility to work days, nights, holidays and weekends. Competitive benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO and DailyPay.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering & Suspension & A5 Brakes, plus 2 from A1, A6, A7, A8, L1).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications in brake/hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, suspension, A/C, and computer systems.
• Perform duties of lower technician levels as needed.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and staff clearly.
• Mentor and assist fellow technicians to improve service quality.
• Maintain an organized, safe shop and adhere to policies.
