Job summary

Itau US is seeking an experienced enterprise automation leader to design, implement, and continuously improve automation solutions that scale across the organization. The role requires strong software engineering expertise, deep AWS cloud experience, and a track record of driving automation strategy with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will mentor engineers, define architecture standards, and oversee governance, security, and production support in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, automation development, or related technology roles.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as .NET (C#), Java, or Python.
• Extensive experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, CloudFormation/CDK.
• Deep understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, and API-based integrations.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, logging, and production support in cloud environments.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes.
• Understanding of SSDLC and cloud security principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise automation solutions.
• Partner with business and technology teams to translate needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Define automation architecture standards and governance frameworks.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native technologies, DevOps practices, and IaC.
• Oversee performance, reliability, security, and support of automation platforms.
• Lead design reviews, architecture discussions, and solution assessments.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, and security to meet regulatory requirements.
• Develop technical roadmaps, documentation, and support models.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and align with organizational objectives.
