Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Lead Maintenance Tech at our on-site Cox location. You will perform advanced auto diagnostics, lead a team of technicians, and handle heavy-duty repairs including engines, brakes, and electronics. Strong leadership and communication are essential as you mentor junior techs and ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of automotive service and repair experience.
• Ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform the responsibilities of a level 1 - level 3 auto tech.
• Perform a wide range of repairs including brakes, drivability, steering, suspension, electrical, safety inspections, AC and major engine.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and complete repairs.
• Clutch and transmission replacement.
• Provide guidance or training to associates as needed.
• Quality control checks on all work; notify supervisor of issues.
• Model safe work practices and ensure health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Identify developmental opportunities in staff and supervise workflow.
