Job summary

Caterpillar Griffin, GA facility is seeking an Assembler III responsible for preparing and assembling products, while mentoring fellow assemblers. This role emphasizes high-quality output, adherence to SOPs, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The position requires ability to read work instructions, operate hand and power tools, and perform physical tasks. Training and collaboration across shifts are expected to ensure efficient production and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand written work instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and heavy-duty assembly environment.
• Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare components for assembly.
• Assemble parts according to work instructions, SOPs, blueprints, risk assessments, and job routers.
• Assemble high-quality products while adhering to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe working environment.
• Train and support team members in assembly processes and procedures.
• Perform final assembly, inspection, and finishing activities, including cleaning, panel installation, labeling, and product presentation preparation prior to shipment.
• Complete required product documentation and verify all parts, quality inspections, and shipping requirements have been satisfied before release.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional partners.
