Job summary

Universal Studios Orlando is seeking an experienced Art Director to lead storytelling, art, architecture, and lighting across entertainment projects. You will unite teams and vendors to shape concepts from early design through installation, ensuring the creative vision is realized on schedule and on budget.

Responsibilities include directing visual design direction, collaborating with the Creative Director, and presenting materials to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years production design and field experience required.
• Experience designing entertainment for world-class theme parks or related industries.
• In-depth knowledge of color theory, art history, scenic painting techniques, sculpture, architecture, perspective, and theatrical lighting.

Responsibilities

• Develops visual design direction and defines design elements affecting guest experience; supervise others.
• Oversees design, fabrication and installation of on-stage elements to realize the creative intent.
• Collaborates with internal talent and external vendors to execute the vision and direct art-related vendors.
