Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Cheyenne, Wyoming seeks an Area Field Engineer to lead field engineering activities for the project, including work planning, material management, and coordination with startup. This role may start in the Reston office to support preconstruction planning and mobilize to Cheyenne for a long-term assignment contingent on project award.

You will supervise multiple disciplines, ensure safety and quality, manage subcontractor submittals, and align engineering work with project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field from an accredited university.
• 8–10 years of relevant work experience with a degree, or 12–14 years without.
• Experience in field engineering and supervision in large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of Bechtel Standard Work Process Procedures.
• Experience with direct hire construction and multiple trades.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct multi-discipline field engineering activities.
• Direct field engineering within the assigned area and oversee turnover coordination.
• Manage material requests, quantities, and forecasting.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
• Supervise subcontractor submittals and inspections.
