Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior Software Architect to lead the architecture of a Node.js and TypeScript platform hosted on AWS. You will translate user needs into scalable designs, shape event-driven microservices, and own production operations from requirements to deployment.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in software engineering with leadership experience, strong English, and hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with Architect or Lead responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for back-end development on AWS-hosted platforms.
• Track record of designing event-driven microservices architectures in production and ability to explain design decisions clearly.
• Comfort working directly with end users, eliciting detailed requirements and challenging proposed solutions respectfully.
• Hands-on work with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex, from requirements to deployment and observation.
• Experience taking software to production and owning its operation, including observability and incident repair.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture of a product capability from design through production.
• Translate product goals and user needs into working software.
• Shape event-driven microservices for the AWS-hosted back end.
• Run requirements sessions with end users and challenge assumptions constructively.
• Direct AI-assisted development from specs through build, deployment, and observation.
• Own the operation of what ships, including incident repair and fix-forward.
