Job summary

Haymarket seeks a Lead Architect for our HayloARC DSP platform in New York. The role is hybrid (3 days in-office) and focuses on cloud infrastructure, data warehousing, and AI integration. You will mentor engineers and drive build vs. buy decisions to enable scalable, secure systems.

You will partner with Product to map requirements to roadmaps, oversee DevOps and Data teams, and lead architectural governance across multi-platform projects. Excellent leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Technical Architect.
• Experience designing complex scalable systems and open source components.
• Experience with architectural patterns (e.g., Event-Driven, Microservices, CQRS).
• Experience documenting system architecture and design.
• Ability to communicate technical information to business stakeholders.
• Experience with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions).
• Experience with Docker or other containerization.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of security best practices regarding data, file storage, and SDLC.
• Experience with system observability and monitoring performance.
• Experience in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience evaluating enterprise platforms, vendors, and RFPs.
• Experience managing simultaneous projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of the HayloARC platform.
• Translate business requirements into a robust technical roadmap.
• Coordinate with Development, Data Engineering and BI teams to implement solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps on cloud infrastructure architecture and scalability.
• Own external integration strategy and API design.
• Manage technical debt balancing long-term health with business needs.
• Promote modern development practices and standards.
• Collaborate with product and finance on schedules and budgets.
• Drive early AI/predictive modeling integration into features.
• Mentor the development team to foster growth.
• Stay current with industry trends and vendor evaluations.
• Evaluate and select build vs buy options.
