Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Lead Analyst, Supply Chain Systems to support the WMS information systems, manage service processes, and maintain client relationships. You’ll write specifications, coordinate QA, and assist with system enhancements under senior guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) development and implementation.
• Experience with web-based applications, WMS, TMS and small parcel shipment systems.
• Experience in supply chain management, warehousing, transportation or distribution.
• Experience using SQL for data analysis, extraction, troubleshooting and reporting.
• Understanding of client/server, relational databases, web-based systems, and OO design.

Responsibilities

• Participate in business development to analyze client requirements and determine fit and customizations.
• Create proposals and cost estimates, presenting GXO capabilities to prospective clients.
• Support project managers during system implementations and upgrades; provide ongoing support.
• Develop implementation plans, configure systems, train users and provide post-implementation support.
• Create functional specifications for modifications, defects, enhancements and user documentation.
• Perform data modeling and QA testing on system changes before release to users.
• Conduct user acceptance testing with end users before field release.
• Deliver training to power users and provide site support for distribution and operations centers.
• Assist in resolving data-related issues with logistics information systems.

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Participate in the business development process to analyze client requirements, determine fit and customizations
• Create proposals, gather supporting data for cost estimates and present GXO’s capabilities and solutions to prospective clients
• Support project manager during system implementations/upgrades and provide continuing support
• Develop documented implementation plans, configure systems, train users and provide post-implementation support
• Create detailed functional specifications for modifications, defect corrections, enhancements and user documentation
• Perform process and data modeling; perform integrated quality assurance testing on system changes before they are released to key users
• Work creatively with end users to perform user acceptance testing on system changes before they are released to the field
• Deliver training to power users on system use; provide system configuration site support to distribution centers and operations center
• Provide support to resolve data-related problems with logistics information systems

What you need to succeed at GXO

At a minimum, you’ll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent related work or military experience
• 4 years of experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) development and implementation
• Implementation and support experience with web-based applications, WMS, Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and small parcel shipment systems
• Expertise and experience in at least one of the following business disciplines: supply chain management, warehousing, transportation or distribution
• Experience using SQL for data analysis, extraction, troubleshooting and reporting
• Thorough understanding of current information systems technologies such as client/server, relational databases, web-based systems, and object-oriented design
• It’d be great if you also have
• Master’s degree
• Oracle SQL programming experience
• 5 years of experience with WMS development and implementation
• Knowledge of formal systems development methodologies
