Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. (Forza Silicon, Vision Research) seeks an Analog and Mixed Signal Design Engineer in Pasadena, CA to lead sensor development from concept through tapeout and bring-up.

You will architect, design, simulate, and verify complex mixed-signal circuits for CMOS image sensors, collaborating closely with customers and foundries. The role requires a BS in EE (MS/PhD preferred) and at least 2 years of analog/mixed-signal experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• MS or PhD preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical analog/mixed-signal design experience in image sensors or related fields.
• Expert-level experience with transistor-level circuit design, simulation, and verification using modern EDA tools (Cadence, Siemens, Synopsys) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of ADC architectures used in image sensor readout applications.
• Experience with noise analysis, transistor and capacitor matching, and identifying sources of error in analog ICs.
• Experience across the complete mixed-signal IC design flow including DFT, timing analysis, top-level chip integration, tapeout, and silicon bring-up.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all phases of sensor development from specification to tapeout and transition to product.
• Develop sensor architectures and detailed designs meeting customer and product requirements.
• Perform circuit analysis, design, simulation, layout, and verification of mixed-signal circuits.
• Interface with foundry partners to understand process technologies and support design implementation.
• Manage pixel design activities and evaluate pixel performance throughout development.
