Job summary

The Lead Telemetry System Engineer at BETA Technologies leads the design, integration, and release of aircraft telemetry and flight-test data-collection systems. You will bridge hardware, software, and communication links across onboard and ground systems.

You will own the aircraft-installed hardware, develop documentation, and guide verification and certification activities while working closely with Flight Test, Software, and Systems Engineering teams to deliver reliable telemetry for

Qualifications

• 4+ years in aircraft systems, telemetry, instrumentation, or avionics.
• Experience integrating electrical hardware, sensors, and networks into a full product or test system.
• Experience creating system architectures, requirements, interface docs, or test plans.
• Familiarity with Linux-based systems, Ethernet/IP networking, and distributed hardware/software.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, integration, and release of telemetry and data-collection systems.
• Own aircraft-installed hardware including interfaces, power, wiring, and onboard computing.
• Develop documentation, requirements, interface definitions, and configuration baselines.
• Lead verification, validation, and release activities per development processes.
• Collaborate with Flight Test, Certification, Software, and other teams to deliver telemetry.
• Support installation, ground checkout, and flight-test operations.
