Job summary

M1 Support Services is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II (Electronics) to maintain and repair aircraft systems including engines, avionics, hydraulics, and landing gear. Lead a team of mechanics to ensure aircraft readiness and timely task completion.

The role requires extensive rotory aircraft experience (H-60 family) and CDQAR/QAR expertise, with potential shift work and US security clearance eligibility. Full-time position based in San Diego, CA.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of recent O-level H-60S/R/F/H aircraft maintenance or equivalent rotary aircraft experience.
• Five years of H60 CDQAR/QAR experience.
• MH60-R experience preferred with U.S. Navy aircraft maintenance background.
• At least two years in a management or leadership role.
• Security clearance: ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 Background Investigation and possibly a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repairs on aircraft systems (engine, gearbox, rotor, avionics, etc.) and perform structural work and hydraulic tasks.
• Obtain and maintain CDQAR (Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative).
• Conduct regular inspections — 175-hour, isochronal, and phase inspections — for cracks, leaks, corrosion, and defects.
• Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems and components to keep aircraft mission-ready.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, ensure safety procedures, and manage a team of mechanics.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and verify work performance.
• Specialize in engine/airframe repair and complete additional qualifications (e.g., ordnance).
• Document maintenance in OOMA or similar system, ensuring compliance with 4790 and safety standards.
