Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to design and integrate cabin and cargo interiors for commercial aircraft. You will perform engineering and project management tasks, developing solutions from concept through installation, while supporting airline customers and internal teams.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 9+ years of design experience, 2+ years PM, and strong communication. Travel and regulatory knowledge are part of the job.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical).
• 9+ years total design experience with cabin/cargo and/or system installation projects.
• 2+ years of PM experience.
• Knowledge of design principles, docs, procedures.
• Able to read/interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Able to lead small teams technically to milestones.
• Knowledge of aircraft design regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously perform moderate to complex design solution development with deadlines.
• Create/modify technical documents in Airbus tools with high quality and efficiency.
• Lead discussions on issues and status of work; communicate clearly.
• Mentor and provide leadership to less experienced designers.
• Lead preparation of complex business and technical materials and presentations.
