Job summary

Luza is seeking a Senior AI Governance Lead to define and implement the organization's AI governance framework and operating model. You will partner with executives to shape policies, standards, and controls across AI initiatives.

In this role, you will ensure alignment with Responsible AI principles, AI Act requirements, and data governance, while designing decision rights and lifecycle governance for AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field.
• At least 5 years of IT governance project experience.
• At least 2 years in AI governance initiatives.
• Experience defining governance frameworks and operating models.
• Strong knowledge of AI lifecycle governance and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Define AI governance framework and operating model.
• Design governance structures, roles and decision rights.
• Develop policies, standards and control frameworks aligned with AI Act.
• Define AI lifecycle governance across development, deployment, monitoring, and decommissioning.
• Collaborate with executives to drive governance roadmap and workshops.
• Ensure alignment with Data Governance, Risk Management and the broader operating model.

What You'll do:

• Lead the definition and implementation of the organization's AI Governance framework and operating model.
• Design governance structures, decision-making processes, roles, responsibilities, and oversight mechanisms for AI initiatives.
• Develop policies, standards, guidelines, and control frameworks aligned with AI Act requirements and Responsible AI principles.
• Define AI lifecycle governance models, ensuring proper controls throughout development, deployment, monitoring, and decommissioning.
• Collaborate with executive stakeholders to drive governance decisions, facilitate workshops, and establish the AI governance roadmap.
• Ensure alignment between AI Governance, Data Governance, Risk Management, and the broader corporate operating model.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Management, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT Governance projects.
• At least 2 years of experience in AI Governance initiatives.
• Proven experience defining governance frameworks, policies, standards, or operating models.
• Experience designing organizational structures, responsibilities, accountability models, and decision-making mechanisms.
• Strong knowledge of Operating Model Design, Enterprise Governance, and Governance Frameworks.
• Experience defining AI solution lifecycle governance models.
• Solid understanding of the European AI Act and its governance and compliance requirements.
• Experience with Responsible AI, AI Lifecycle Governance, and Model Governance.
• Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Ownership, and Metadata Management.
• Ability to define policies, standards, guidelines, and control frameworks.
• Experience facilitating executive workshops and managing senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Certifications such as COBIT, ISO 38500, TOGAF, DAMA, or equivalent are a plus.
• Experience in the public sector or regulatory organizations is considered an advantage.
