Job summary

Dentsu is seeking an Associate Director, AI Engineer to design and deliver multi-agent systems that transform data intelligence into automated client-facing workflows. You will write production code, set engineering patterns, and collaborate with an offshore team to deliver scalable AI products.

The role blends architectural decision-making with hands-on development, partnering with the VP and Data Scientists to ensure reliable, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Python.
• 2+ years hands-on with LLMs (prompt engineering, RAG, function calling).
• Experience with at least one agent orchestration framework (LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI).
• Strong system design skills including API architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and large-scale RAG systems.
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective collaboration with distributed teams across regions/time zones.

Responsibilities

• Design and build multi-agent systems using LLM orchestration frameworks for client-facing products.
• Implement end-to-end AI orchestration use cases for clients with reliable delivery.
• Build agentic wrappers around data science models to support conversational access.
• Configure Genie spaces to enable client data exploration and self-service analytics.
• Develop reusable agent components, prompts, and tool-use libraries for future deployments.
• Evaluate LLM providers for capability, cost, and latency; recommend options.
• Collaborate with Offshore Director Staff AI Engineer on architecture and coding standards.
• Write production-grade Python with error handling, observability, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
• Partner with Data Scientists to understand models and create resilient agent interfaces.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and operational runbooks.
