Description:
Our client seeks a Lead Agilist to coach Agile Squads and promote effective Scrum practices. The role will facilitate Scrum events, foster a trusting environment, and guide teams and Product Owners in backlog management, empirical decision-making, and continuous improvement. The Lead Agilist will model servant leadership, enable teams to remove impediments, and collaborate across the organization to improve delivery and value realization.

Rate: $75.00 to $85.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Coach Agile Squads on Agile and Scrum values, principles, and practices.
- Facilitate Scrum events and ensure value from Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Backlog Refinement.
- Guide Product Owners and Development Teams in effective backlog management and clarity of outcomes.
- Promote self-organization, continuous improvement, cross-functionality, and software craftsmanship.
- Identify and help remove impediments, escalating when necessary to appropriate entities.
- Shield teams from external interference to maintain productivity.
- Foster a safe, trusting environment for open discussion and collaborative problem solving.
- Leverage metrics and feedback loops for inspect-and-adapt improvements.
- Apply knowledge of DevOps, pipeline automation, and testing practices to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with peers and the Agile Center to improve overall team effectiveness.
- Model servant leadership and support growth of team members and stakeholders.
- Ensure risk identification, management, and reporting aligned with organizational policies.
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of full-time business experience.
- 3+ years of Scrum experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with experience presenting, teaching, mentoring, and facilitating.
- Proven ability to remove impediments outside of the team.
- Coaching skills with the ability to convey complex messages and teach new concepts.
- Conflict resolution and mediation capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust, rapport, and high-performing teams.
- Working knowledge of SDLC disciplines and practices that support agility.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, TDD, and automated testing practices.
- Knowledge of additional Agile frameworks such as Kanban, Scrumban, XP, and Mob programming.
- Ability to use empirical data and metrics to drive decisions and improvements.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a directly related field, or equivalent work experience.
