Job summary

Best Friends Animal Society seeks a senior leader to serve as Manager, Best Friends Advisory Consultant -LAAS (ME) reporting to LAAS leadership. This 3-year consultant role will advise on lifesaving strategies across six LA shelters, guiding training, implementation, and outcome measurement.

The candidate will spend most time onsite in Los Angeles with occasional remote work, manage internal and partner communications, and help drive no-kill goals through collaboration with Best Friends, LAAS

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years in manager level or higher shelter leadership and management.
• Familiarity with the Los Angeles Animal Services system is required.
• Strong communication, public speaking and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• On rotation, work onsite at six LAAS shelters for approximately 3 years in a leadership role to drive systemic change and lifesaving programming.
• Implement and communicate operations plan with metrics for Best Friends and LAAS and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Manage budgets and ensure resources align with LAAS and Best Friends plans.
