Cooper Norcross Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider Lead (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to guide Trauma and Acute Care Surgery APPs. You will lead, mentor, and schedule APPs, ensuring staffing adequacy and collaboration across disciplines with nursing leadership on CUH initiatives.

You will actively participate in performance improvement, center outreach, onboarding, and APP student oversight, driving program success and high-quality patient care.

Formación

• Masters degree required for NP or PA credentials.
• Board-certified with acute care certification or NJ PA license.
• NJ APN & RN license required; BLS certification.
• Minimum 18 months as Licensed Advanced Practice Provider.

Responsabilidades

JOB DESCRIPTION - ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER (APP) LEAD - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentoring to Trauma and Acute Care Surgery APP’s
• Responsible for the scheduling of the Trauma and Acute Care Surgery APPs to ensure adequate staffing
• Collaboration with other disciplines and nursing leadership on Trauma/ ACS and CUH based initiatives
• Active participation in Trauma/ ACS Performance Improvement meetings and initiatives
• Active participation in Trauma Center outreach and educational initiatives
• Active participation in Trauma Center re-verification process
• Responsible for assessment of staffing needs, collaborating with Trauma Medical Director and Leadership to present requests for new positions
• Responsible for collaboration with CUH Talent Acquisition for recruiting for positions
• Responsible for oversight of On-boarding any new-hires
• Responsible for Oversight of APP students rotating through Trauma/ ACS
• Be competent in all areas that the Trauma/ ACS APP’s cover: TSICU, TSDU, Floors, Trauma/ ACS Clinic
• Active participation in CUH APP initiatives, such as APN Council

Experience Required

Minimum of 18 months working as Licensed Advanced Practice Provider.

Education Requirements

Master's Degree - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is required

License/Certification Requirements

NJ APN & RN license; Board certified and Acute Care certification or NJ PA license; Board certified; American Heart Association BLS certification
