Job summary

The Office of Addiction Services and Supports in New York is seeking an Addictions Counselor 3 to oversee clinical performance, quality management, and compliance for the program. The incumbent will coordinate schedules, group curriculums, data collection and other clinical activities with the Assistant Director.

Qualifications

• Current CASAC Advanced or CASAC Master Counselor registration in NYS.
• Two years post-registration addictions counseling in a certified or licensed program.
• One year of this experience must include clinical supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a Case Management/Counseling work group.
• Oversee case management and counseling activities.
• Supervise staff on a case management team with performance tasks and appraisals.
• Ensure patient records are accurate and that individual and group counseling is provided.
• Participate in onsite billing and insurance meetings.
• Provide supervisory coverage and act as building supervisor as needed.
• Carry out crisis intervention and didactic sessions; manage a caseload.

Education
