Job summary

Kisco Senior Living in Brookline, MA, is seeking a Lead Activities Assistant to provide exemplary service to residents by presenting classes, coordinating events, and assisting with transportation as needed.

Availability: Tue–Sat 9:00am–5:30pm. Pay: $25.50–$26/hr. The role includes opportunities to lead wellness programs and collaborate with volunteers and community groups.

Qualifications

• One to two years of wellness program experience (seniors preferred).
• Experience leading exercise classes and using exercise equipment.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record; CDL optional if needed.

Responsibilities

• Promote and monitor resident attendance and participation in Wellness programs.
• Teach and facilitate Wellness programs.
• Implement a variety of Wellness programs (group and individual).
• Work with volunteers and community groups to implement various programs.
• Assist in setting up Wellness and community events.
• Assist with scheduling transportation as required.
• Drive vehicles as necessary.

What will I do every day?

• Promote and monitor resident attendance and participation in all Wellness programs
• Teach and facilitate programs as appropriate
• Implement a variety of group and individual Wellness programs
• Work with volunteers and community groups to implement various programs
• Assist in setting up Wellness and community events
• Assist with scheduling transportation as required
• Drive vehicles as necessary

What will I need to be successful in this role?

• Bring a smile to work every day
• Be a great team player
• High school graduate
• One to two years of experience in wellness programs (preferably with seniors)
• Experience leading exercise classes and assisting with exercise equipment preferred

Special Requirements/Certifications I may need?

• Valid driver's license and proof of good driving record
• Commercial driver's license or ability to obtain one within reasonable time of employment (as required)
• First Aid Certification
