Job summary

The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) seeks an Acquisition Program Manager (Full Performance) to lead multi-million-dollar satellite acquisition and procurement efforts, guiding requirements, contracts, and program control to ensure mission readiness and delivery.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, or science and at least four years of related experience; DAWIA certification requirements apply or must be achieved within 48–60 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Management, Engineering, Science) is highly desirable or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of directly applicable experience for immediate success.
• DAWIA certification requirements apply; must meet or obtain DAWIA requirements within 48–60 months.

Responsibilities

• Influence and lead acquisitions, ensuring requirements and designs address operational needs.
• Manage cost, schedule, and performance of complex contracts for overhead reconnaissance systems.
• Ensure end-to-end operational readiness of new satellite missions and ground systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including contracting and mission partners.
• Identify and mitigate technical issues and risks to protect mission success.
• Provide recommendations and status to management on program status and contractor performance.
