Job summary

Just Heat Pumps, a Denver-based heat pump installation company, seeks an Account Lead & Full-Charge Bookkeeper to own the numbers as the company doubles in size. The role is part-time with a long-term growth path, mainly remote with occasional local travel.

You’ll manage full-charge bookkeeping, AR/AP, payroll, and financial reporting, with room to evolve into a controller position as the business expands.

Qualifications

• Full-charge bookkeeping experience through month-end close and ability to work independently.
• Excellent QuickBooks Online skills including invoicing, billing, reports and coding, owning the chart of accounts.
• Reliable home workspace and internet since the role is mostly remote (80/20).

Responsibilities

• Record and categorize income and expenses in QuickBooks.
• Enter, code, and pay vendor bills on time and work with vendors directly.
• Invoice jobs, apply payments, manage collections, and ensure AR stays low; reconcile bank and credit accounts.
• Post journal entries and maintain the GL.
• Run month-end close and produce financial statements.
• Own and maintain the chart of accounts.
• Process payroll, commissions, and payroll taxes.
• Calculate, file, and remit sales and use tax.
• Manage W-9s and year-end tax forms.
