Paradigm Power Delivery is hiring a Lead Accountant to manage daily financials and reporting, partnering with project controls and shared services. The role supports building the accounting function with growth potential and reports to the VP of Finance, Renewables.

Ideal candidates have a strong US GAAP background, 8+ years in accounting, and proficiency with Deltek CostPoint, Power BI, and Excel. This is a full-time on-site position with a dynamic renewables focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• 8+ years in accounting, financial reporting or public accounting.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and related regulations.
• Experience with project accounting is a plus.
• Strong Excel/Office suite skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead revenue recognition analysis and project setup.
• Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and reporting packages.
• Collaborate with project controls and shared services on financials.
• Ensure transactions align with US GAAP and internal controls.
• Support 5-year financial planning and quarterly forecasts.

The Lead Accountant is responsible for the daily financial management and financial reporting of Paradigm Enterprises Inc. This role will work closely with the project controls, accounting shared services and other operational functions to ensure financial information is provided accurately and timely to various stakeholders across the organization. Paradigm is looking for a strong candidate to help build out the accounting function with potential for growth into a Manager role. The Lead Accountant reports to the VP of Finance, Renewables.

Essential Functions

• Revenue Recognition Analysis
• Project Set Up
• Project Code Management
• Weekly Progress Reporting
• Weekly Project Cost Forecasting
• Progress Billings and Collections
• Project Cash Flows
• Analyze and report on financial results, including preparation of the monthly reporting package, monthly segment review presentation and monthly management discussion and analysis.
• Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare adhoc financial analysis, as requested
• Assist Management and the Strategic Operations team in developing the 5-year financial plan and quarterly forecast updates
• Work with team to establish accounting best practices and process improvements
• Work closely with the Shared Services team to ensure that all transactions are recorded and all financial information is presented in accordance with US GAAP.
• Partner with the Project Controls and Project Management teams to analyze and report on project performance
• Provide feedback to the Estimating team on financial assumptions used to develop estimates for project bids.
• Complete project financial checklists and project cash forecast for use in Management bid review meetings.
• Prepare analysis for vendor financial evaluations
• Monitor compliance with the Inflation Reduction Act across multiple projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA preferred but not required.
• Minimum eight (8) years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or public accounting. Project and percent complete accounting preferred but not required.
• Technical knowledge of US GAAP, accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Experience with Deltek CostPoint, PowerBI, Power Query and InEight or equivalent systems preferred but not required
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to connect with executives, engineers and field teams
• Good time management skills
