Job summary

C2 Technology group, a Crete United Company, is hiring for an access control installer responsible for deploying and maintaining security systems in client sites across the Birmingham area.

The role requires hands-on experience with card readers, controllers, and credential platforms, plus strong cabling skills and the ability to document work and test systems effectively.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of verifiable experience installing and servicing access control systems.
• Familiarity with Lenel, Software House, Genetec, Honeywell, or similar platforms.
• Experience with low-voltage cabling and termination practices.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and perform basic math.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs, work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying temperatures.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot access control systems including card readers, door controllers, and credential management platforms.
• Pull and terminate low-voltage cabling associated with access control infrastructure.
• Conduct site surveys and coordinate with project managers and engineers.
• Complete installation documentation and quality assurance reports.
• Perform system testing and commissioning upon project completion.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience installing and servicing access control systems
• Familiarity with industry-recognized platforms (Lenel, Software House, Genetec, Honeywell, or similar)
• Experience with low-voltage cabling and termination practices
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and perform basic math
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs, work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying temperatures
• Verifiable experience and character references required
