Job summary

Rampart Aviation, LLC in Colorado Springs is seeking a Lead A&P Technician to oversee heavy airframe and engine maintenance, coordinate with flight operations, and lead a maintenance team on company-owned aircraft. The role requires four+ years of aviation maintenance experience and an FAA A&P license.

Experience with DHC-6, CASA C212, Hawker 800XP and/or DHC-4T Caribou is preferred. Must own basic aviation tools, read/write/speak English, and be willing to travel CONUS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct maintenance team on daily tasks and safety procedures.
• Ensure inspections and modifications are completed to standards.
• May travel CONUS for maintenance support as needed.

Job description

Currently seeking Lead A&P Technician in Colorado Springs, CO
Experience withDHC-6, CASA C212, Hawker 800XP and/or DHC-4T Caribou preferred.
Experience with PT6 and/or TPE331 turboprops is preferred.
Leadership experience required.

BASIC FUNCTION SUMMARY

Lead A&P Technician must oversee work on company owned aircraft,performing flight line support as well as heavy airframe and engine maintenance, repair, modifications, and inspections. Must keep team on task and coordinate maintenance schedule with flight ops department to ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance can be accomplished without interruption to daily flight operations.

Minimum of four years total aviation maintenance experience is required, plus a civilian or military aviation maintenance technical school is preferred.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidates must hold a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
• Must meet CFR 65.83 recency experience
• Applicants must own basic Aviation hand tools stored in Mechanic‘s toolbox
• Must Hold Valid US Passport / US Citizen and valid United States Driver’s License
• Will be required to pass drug, alcohol and background check(s).
• Must be willing to work overtime and odd hours
• May be required to travel (CONUS)
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

Physical Demands:

• Climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking and working in tiring uncomfortable positions.
• Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus
• May require lifting of objects whose weight may exceed75 pounds.
