Summary

The Lead A&P Mechanic is responsible for performing aircraft maintenance, inspections, and repairs while providing guidance and oversight to maintenance personnel. This role ensures all work is completed in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards while supporting team productivity and operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and inspection of aircraft and aircraft systems
  • Lead and support a team of A&P mechanics to ensure work is completed efficiently and correctly
  • Troubleshoot mechanical discrepancies and determine appropriate corrective actions
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and engineering documents
  • Ensure proper documentation of all maintenance activities
  • Coordinate with maintenance control and operations to support aircraft availability
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanics
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned
