Job summary

Applitrack in Rigby, Idaho, seeks a Head 7th Grade Boys Basketball Coach for Rigby Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates skill and experience in the sport coached.
• Holds a valid Idaho Teaching Certificate or certified by the ASEP or NFICEP.
• Ability to work with staff, students, and the public.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Plans regularly scheduled practice sessions and activities to maximize skill level within district/state policies.
• Teaches fundamentals of the sport and the personal characteristics required by the sport.
• Interacts with building and district administration to schedule competitive activities within guidelines.
• Welfare and safety of athletes at practice, during competition and while teaching; attend safety and legal workshops.
• Cooperates with the press and public entities to represent the program and district positively.
• Complies with IHSAA, State Board of Education and District 251 policies.
• Attends meetings and serves on committees as requested by administration.
• Orders, inventories and maintains equipment and facilities with Athletic Director.
• Maintains direct communication with administration and upholds high ethical standards.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
