Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with coursework in physical education, education, athletic coaching or related field.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people with varying levels of English.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills in working with student-athletes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate school-based youth sports and activities.
• Assist with planning, implementing, coordinating and evaluating programs.
• Promote communication between coaches, parents, students and external agencies.
• Align sports goals with district strategy and manage department finances.
• Assist the Athletic Director with hiring coaches and program evaluation.
• Serve as a spokesperson for sports to the media.
• Prepare and distribute sport policy updates to stakeholders.
• Develop and implement a clear vision for the program.
• Instruct and condition athletes at different levels and monitor progress.
