Achievement First Network Support is hiring a Director of 5-8 Math Achievement to lead the middle school math team, shaping a robust program and curriculum across NYC, CT, and RI. The role collaborates with deans, principals, and teachers, emphasizing data-informed decision making and professional development to lift student math outcomes.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and 4+ years in math leadership roles, with a proven track record of coaching adults

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in education/math preferred.
• Four or more years of experience in a dean of academics/instruction or equivalent role.
• Experience coaching teachers to strong math results and data-driven action planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the middle school math team to build a robust program and curriculum.
• Manage program vision and implementation; synthesize network guidance for school leaders.
• Analyze student achievement data to drive material development and targeted training.
• Coordinate professional development sessions for math vision, curriculum and skills growth.
• Conduct focused observations to improve instructional practices and curriculum implementation.
