Job summary

Terra AI is building a new category at the intersection of artificial intelligence and geoscience. We seek a talented deep learning engineer or scientist to lead the development of diffusion-based 3D geological models.

You will condition outputs on geophysical data and borehole measurements, guiding exploration decisions with state-of-the-art ML. Ideal candidates will have extensive PyTorch experience, a track record of building large DL models from scratch, and hands-on data curation.

Qualifications

• Proficient with PyTorch, including custom modules, optimization, and debugging at scale.
• Experience designing, implementing, and training complex deep learning architectures.
• Hands-on data curation for ML datasets, cleaning and maintaining data quality.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: version control, testing, and scalable design.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, test, and iterate diffusion models for 3D geological outputs.
• Develop conditioning methods for geophysical data and observations.
• Generate synthetic data to improve model performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with project teams to adapt models to real-world exploration projects.
