Job summary

Wonder Academy in Indian Trail, NC seeks a full-time Lead Early Preschool Educator to provide quality care and early childhood education for children from infants to twelve years in a creative arts-based program.

Responsibilities include lesson planning, classroom management, and collaboration with staff to foster learning through play, movement and the arts. NC CBC qualifying letter and EDU 119 completion are required.

Qualifications

• EDU 119 completed and additional EDU coursework.
• Current North Carolina CBC Qualifying Letter.
• Knowledge of NC Rules/Regulations and ability to develop lesson plans that meet standards.
• Experience with exceptionalities and classroom management.
• Background check required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare age-appropriate lessons and teach per age groups.
• Contribute to mission of unlocking children's gifts through play and arts.
• Maintain orderly classroom environment and provide structure for learning.
• Support children to meet educational milestones through individualized instruction.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a nurturing learning space.
• Provide feedback to parents/guardians as needed.
• Work with diverse populations and adapt to change.
• Incorporate movement and arts into 5-Part Curriculum.
