Job summary

Barrington Board of Education is seeking a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) responsible for assessing students' learning characteristics and designing instructional plans. The role requires a valid New Jersey Educational Services Certificate and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Educational Services Certificate and Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant Endorsement required.
• Knowledge of special education laws and ability to assess learning characteristics.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Participates in evaluation, classification, and placement of students with special needs.
• Assesses learning characteristics and academic proficiency of pupils.
• Develops individualized education programs for students requiring special education.
• Consults with teachers and parents on instructional methods for students.
