Job summary

Insight Environmental is hiring an Environmental Technician in Watford City, ND. You will assist clients in meeting compliance standards by inspecting sites and monitoring safety, with opportunities to learn under experienced team members.

Responsibilities include LDAR inspections, data management, report preparation, and collaboration with peers. The position requires a high school diploma (associates/bachelor’s preferred) and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Knowledge of 40 CFR Part 60 LDAR rules and state LDAR-related rules.
• Experience reading P&IDs and troubleshooting instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental compliance inspections at an oil refinery using air monitoring equipment.
• Supervise environmental inspection, monitoring and testing activities.
• Perform LDAR inspections using a flame ionization detector (FID).
• Maintain environmental databases and piping/ instrument diagrams.
• Generate maintenance work orders and submit periodic reports.
• Participate in weekly compliance and safety meetings.
