Job summary

Cell Staff is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to support offenders in a state correctional facility in North Carolina. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with some weekend coverage and 8-hour shifts, working under the direction of licensed staff.

The position emphasizes rehabilitative mental health services, documentation, group facilitation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to help offenders progress toward return to the community.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited educational institution.
• Licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the State in which the position is located. The license MUST be in good standing.
• 1+ year of relevant Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides rehabilitative mental health services to offenders with varied impairments.
• Documents in the healthcare record and facilitates psycho-educational groups.
• Creates group activities and offers clinical feedback as part of a treatment team.
• Facilitates curriculum-based and leisure activity groups; supports individuals.
• Monitors supplies for programming and maintains inventory.
• Supports treatment goals within the residential milieu as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Assists with stress management, social skills, and community reintegration planning.
