Job summary

Altasciences is hiring at our Preclinical Columbia site to advance LC-MS/MS method development and validation for preclinical and clinical studies. You will perform precise sample analyses, ensure GLP compliance, and manage project timelines while coordinating cross-functional efforts.

Mentorship to lab staff and direct client interactions are key parts of the role. You should have an advanced degree in chemistry, biology, or pharmaceutical science with hands-on lab experience and familiarity

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and hands-on experience in chemistry, biology or pharmaceutical science.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience is a plus; leadership potential welcomed.
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and electronic lab notebooks.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and validation of LC-MS/MS assays for preclinical and clinical studies.
• Perform study sample analysis including toxicological endpoints with precision.
• Ensure GLP-compliant workflows and meticulous documentation at all steps.
• Own project timelines and coordinate phases for timely delivery.
• Collaborate with clients, advising on study and assay design and providing science-driven insights.
• Participate in validating and qualifying new and existing methods.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to laboratory staff.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• Advanced Expertise: Whether you hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in chemistry, biology or pharmaceutical science, you’ll bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, backed by years of hands‑on experience in the field.

• Supervisory Skills: While previous supervisory experience is a plus, we welcome candidates who are eager to step into leadership roles and make a difference in our dynamic team environment.

• Technological Savvy: From advanced computer skills to familiarity with LIMS and electronic notebooks, you’ll leverage the latest tools and technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
