Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a LCMS Sales Specialist to promote and grow sales of Shimadzu’s premier LCMS portfolio, including LCMS Single Quad, LCMS‑QQQ, Q‑TOF, MALDI, CLAM, Applications Specific Accessory devices, and Application Specific Software. In this role, you will act as a consultative sales expert, taking full ownership of a defined territory (Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Upstate New York) and associated product lines while strategically developing the territory for sustainable year‑over‑year growth. A critical component of the role will be closely collaborating and engaging in joint selling activities with the region’s team of analytical sales engineer colleagues.
This is a field‑based role. While some administrative responsibilities may be handled from home or the regional office in Marlborough, MA, the position is not a remote work‑from‑home role and requires frequent, near‑daily customer site visits within the territory.
This role is an exempt, full‑time position that is benefits‑eligible. The starting base salary range for this position is $96,000 to $98,000 annually. Additional variable compensation includes a commission plan based on sales territory performance, paid each payroll period, and a discretionary year‑end bonus may also be provided based on overall company performance. Shimadzu offers 10 paid vacation days, 8 paid personal days, 8 scheduled holidays, and 3 floating holidays in the first year of employment. After one year, employees are eligible for a generous short‑term disability program, with 100% of the monthly premiums covered by the company. Employees are insured at 100% of their salary for the first 6 weeks and 66.67% of their salary for weeks 7‑12. The offer package includes a company car with a fuel card, subject to a $55 per pay deduction for personal use. A company phone is also provided, fully paid by the employer, and can be used for personal purposes while remaining 100% company property.
