Job summary

Responsibilities

• Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
• Plans and schedules with the Athletic Director a regular program of practice for each season.
• Assists the Athletic Director in scheduling all intramural and inter-scholastic contests.
• Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies and uniforms, as appropriate.
• Maintains necessary attendance forms, insurance records, and similar paperwork as specified by the Athletic Director.
• Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times that students are officially present.
• Enforces the established performance criteria for eligibility in inter-scholastic competitions in the assigned sport.
• Enforces discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and establishes and oversees penalties for breach of such standards by individual pupils.
• Develops an annual budget request for the sport, in cooperation with the Principal and Athletic Director and administers the annual budget for the sport according to established policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties consistent with the position assigned by the Principal/Athletic Director.
