Job summary

GPKC LLC is seeking both entry level and experienced Tow Truck Operators for full-time roles. This fast-paced team requires individuals willing to work nights and weekends and to be on the road extensively. Our equipment is top-notch and we’re looking for drivers ready to advance their careers.

Responsibilities include operating tow trucks, coordinating with clients, and transporting vehicles safely to service stations or yards. We offer competitive benefits and a supportive team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience operating a tow truck.
• Wheel lift experience required.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Minimum Class E license.
• Good time-management skills.
• Attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
• Effective communication with clients.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and with others.

Responsibilities

• Drive the tow truck to pickup sites.
• Communicate with clients for vehicle details.
• Work during very early/late hours; long on-road time.
• Operate company vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Determine courses of action for moving damaged vehicles.
• Secure damaged vehicles to tow truck.
• Transport vehicles to service stations or yards.
• Document vehicle conditions and paperwork.
• Follow company policies to prevent injuries and damage.
• Provide exceptional customer service to customers in need of emergency help.
• Make proper notations regarding vehicles.
• Transport cars between dealerships, body shops, branches and auctions as requested.

We are seeking both entry level and experienced Tow Truck Operators eager to join a fast paced and growing team!

Essential Responsibilities

• Driving the tow truck to a pickup site
• Communicating with the client for details of the vehicle
• Duties entail very early and late pickup and delivery times, employee is on the road an extreme amount of time
• Drives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accident
• Quickly determining a course of action for moving a damaged vehicle
• Securing a damaged vehicle to the tow truck
• Transporting the vehicle to a service station or junkyard
• Secures vehicles down and verifies the condition of the truck and the load, gets paperwork associated with the vehicle
• Works carefully in such a manner as to prevent injury to yourself or damage to vehicles Complies with established Company policies and procedures
• Provide exceptional customer service to our members in need of emergency mechanical help including
• Makes proper notations regarding vehicles
• Transport cars between dealerships, body shops, branches and auctions as requested

Qualifications Include

• Must have at least one year experience operating a tow truck
• Must have wheel lift experience
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must have at minimum, a Class E license
• Good time-management skills
• Attention to detail in high-pressure situations

• Good physical dexterity and stamina
• Strong customer service skills
• The ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Comfort working both independently and collaboratively
• Demonstrates positive customer service attitude - both to coworkers and customers.
