Job summary

Smith Ironworks in Hesperia, CA is seeking a Layout Fitter for the swing shift to measure, cut, and install components with precision.

Qualifications

Layout Fitter Swing Shift

Manual Labor Smith Ironworks, Hesperia, CA, US

Salary Range: $28.00 To $31.00 Hourly

The swing shift will be from 3:0 p.m. - 11:30 p.m

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Measuring and marking materials,
• Cutting and shaping materials to fit specific requirements, and
• Inspecting finished installations to ensure that they meet quality and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Must be skilled in using hand and power tools, as well as machinery such as drills, saws, and grinders.
• Must follow safety procedures and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Requires physical strength and hand-eye coordination andcan maintain a high degree of accuracy throughout the installation process.
• The ability to work well in a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols
• Must have at least 3 years layout fitting

Education and Experience:

• A high school diploma or equivalent; Previous MSHA training is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for prolonged periods
• Lifting to 70 lbs.
