Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in cable pulling, construction, or general labor preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and safety equipment.
  • Willingness to work in cleanroom environments and follow contamination control procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Material tracking: Receiving, organizing, and staging high-value electrical materials.
  • Kitting and staging: Create kits or pallets so field electricians can load quickly.
  • Disposal and recycling: Manage scrap copper, wire remnants, and aluminum recycling processes.

Job Description
Yard Manager

Yard Manager is responsible for the overall daily organization, material control, equipment management, and logistics of the electrical contractor’s on-site laydown yard. This role ensures that electrical materials (conduit, wire, switchgear, light fixtures, fittings, and pre-fab assemblies) are accurately received, safely staged, securely stored, and efficiently issued to field crews to maintain uninterrupted project workflow. Coordinate daily deliveries and maintain an up-to-date stock of materials.

Responsibilities
  • Material tracking: Overseeing the receiving, organizing, and staging of high value electrical materials like conduits, bulk wire, fittings, etc.
  • Kitting and staging: Reviewing upcoming project work orders and staging specific “kits” or pallets of materials so field electricians can quickly load up and head to job sites without delays.
  • Disposal and recycling: Managing scrap copper, wire remnants, and aluminum recycling processes, which are significant revenue recovery streams for electrical contractors.

  • Prior experience in cable pulling, construction, or general labor preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or elevated platforms.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and safety equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in semiconductor or high‑tech manufacturing environments.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
