Job summary

Safran Cabin in Newport, WA is seeking a Lay Up & Press Operator for the WDPM shift, 4:00 pm to 4:00 am, Monday/Tuesday through Thursday (alternates each week).

You will lay up and press panels for interior and exterior aircraft parts, operate presses and saws, perform CNC trimming, verify materials, and complete production paperwork; forklift training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant, steady work history is preferred; manufacturing a plus.
• Good basic math skills.
• Speak/read/write English proficiently.
• Legible handwriting/printing.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Verifying and withdrawing materials.
• Cutting/kitting materials.
• Laying up materials.
• Loading/unloading press.
• Press operation.
• Saw operation.
• Trimming panels on the CNC.
• Completing production paperwork.
• Forklift operation is required for some tasks (training provided).
• Active participation in operational improvement activities.
• Cross train or transfer to other departments as needed.
• Other tasks as needed and flexibility is key.
