Swissport seeks a Duty Manager - Fueling in Los Angeles to lead daily fueling operations, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The role manages staff, coordinates with customers and authorities, and maintains accurate reporting to support service excellence.

You will monitor safety programs, implement procedures, and uphold company standards to deliver reliable aviation fueling services in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of into-plane fueling experience is required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and government regulations.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Windows Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day safe and efficient fueling operations.
• Enforce safety policies and ensure proper use of fueling equipment.
• Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, IATA, ATA, U.S. Customs, and airport rules.
• Prepare daily reports including payroll data entries.
• Manage staff time to reduce overtime.
• Coach and discipline employees as needed.
• Liaise with customers, airport authorities, and government agencies.
• Review activity and reports to improve service levels.

Job Summary

As a Duty Manager - Fueling, you will be responsible for the day-to-day safe and efficient operation of into-plane fueling activities, while ensuring that the customer service standards and contractual services are met.

The expected salary is $78,000.00 /year. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.

Your activities

• Responsible for Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities at the station with an objective of reducing employee injuries, aircraft, and equipment damage
• Enforce Company safety and health policies and ensure the safe and efficient use of fueling equipment
• Ensure that FAA, TSA, IATA, ATA, U.S. Customs, and airport authority rules and regulations are complied with
• Audit and correct fuel-related paperwork, as required
• Ensure compliance with ATA 103 Fuel Quality Control Specification, NFPA 407, and FAR Part 139.321
• Complete daily reports, to include payroll (KRONOS) data entries
• Effectively manages staff time to reduce dependence on overtime
• Coach/counsel/discipline employees who violate Company policy
• Liaise regularly with all customers, airport authority, and governmental agency representatives
• Confer with branch administrative personnel and review activity, operating, and sales reports to determine adequacy of services or determine changes as required

Your profile

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of two years into-plane experience
• Must have strong organizational skills, detailed oriented
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical or operating procedures or government regulations, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Thorough knowledge and work experience with Windows Office programs including Word, Excel, Power point
• Ability to perform multi-tasking skills
