Job summary

Orion Engineered Carbons Bondco GmbH seeks an in-house counsel to join its international legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will provide broad legal support to management and operating units in the US and abroad, ensuring compliance across commercial, corporate, IP, environmental and regulatory matters.

You will collaborate with outside counsel and internal teams, manage NYSE/SEC reporting, draft and negotiate complex contracts, and help expand the company’s compliance framework

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Fully qualified US attorney (Bar admission)
• Three to eight years of relevant professional experience ideally covering US contract law and US & international commercial law
• Deep knowledge in corporate law, corporate finance and international commercial law and compliance would be an advantage

In-house counsel of mid-cap international chemicals group listed on NYSE seeks addition to international in-house legal team. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, in-house counsel will be responsible for a broad set of law and regulations, and in collaboration with an inhouse international legal team and outside law firms, this role will providing legal across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• General legal advice to management and the operating units (US and international)
• Provide legal support in the following legal areas: commercial and corporate, litigation and claims management, legal and ethical compliance and training, intellectual property, environmental and product regulatory
• Responsible for NYSE/SEC reporting and further expansion of existing compliance structure
• Serve as key member of the international in-house legal team, reporting directly to the General Counsel but with responsibilities to, and direct interface with, many others within the company.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Fully qualified US attorney (Bar exam)
• Three to eight years of relevant professional experience (law firm and/or in-house) ideally covering US contract law, US & international commercial law and/or US capital market laws & regulations
• Deep knowledge in the areas of corporate law, corporate finance and general international commercial law as well as compliance would be an advantage
