Job summary

Greenwood Cemetery Association is seeking a groundskeeper to maintain landscaping around gravesites, walkways and markers. You may lay sod, cut grass, and clear leaves and debris while supporting funeral schedules. The role may require evenings or weekends as cemetery needs arise.

The position is full-time seasonal with potential for permanency, and requires basic maintenance know-how, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. High school education is desirable.

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.

• Maintain landscaping of the grounds, mowing and lawn care around walkways and markers.
• Lay sod and remove leaves/debris from grave-sites.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities as needed.

Maintain landscaping of the grounds including cuttings grass, maintaining lawn, around walkways and memorial markers, laying sod and removal of leaves and debris from grave-sites

Other responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

High school education is desirable

Valid driver's license

Relevant experience/training

Basic knowledge and skills related to maintenance

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs

Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, walking, ect. as job may require

Ability to work in adverse weather conditions Ability to operate hand tools, small machines/equipment

Work Environment: 40 hours a week

FULL TIME SEASONAL could lead to permanent position

May work evenings and weekends to accommodate funeral schedules and cemetery needs
