Job summary

Koenig Equipment in Richmond, IN is seeking a Lawn & Garden/Utility Set-up Technician to support our dealership. You will diagnose equipment, perform repairs per estimates, and coordinate with the Service Manager to ensure on-time completion.

This role requires a technical school degree or equivalent experience, basic knowledge of electrical/hydraulic/mechanical systems, and the ability to operate vehicles and use IntelliDealer. On-site work with training and KEI events.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment to verify needed repairs and notify service manager.
• Perform work per estimate and schedule; communicate if delays.
• Record accurate times for work segments.
• Recommend additional service to maximize productivity.
• Advise customers professionally when required.
• Ensure parts billed and unused return promptly.
• Submit work order details to Service Manager after each segment.
• Occasionally perform duties off-site.
• Help maintain fixed assets.
• Attend training and KEI events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Koenig is currently seeking a Lawn & Garden/Utility Set-up Technician to support the Dealership's Richmond, IN location.

Duties

• Perform diagnostic work on equipment to verify needed repairs per estimate. Notify service manager if initial diagnosis is inaccurate.
• Perform assigned work in accordance with the estimate and the schedule. If completion deadlines cannot be met, or additional work is discovered, notify the service manager immediately so a recovery plan can be developed.
• Keep accurate times records by segment on worked performed.
• Recommend additional service work to maximize machine productivity, reduce downtime, and add value for the customer.
• Professionally advise customers when required.
• Ensure that all parts requested for the job are billed and parts not used are returned in a timely manner.
• Submit work order detail to the Service Manager immediately upon the completion of each segment.
• Perform duties off‑site when required.
• Help maintain company fixed assets as required.
• Attend training and KEI events as required.
• Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to use our computer operating system (IntelliDealer).
• Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment needed for the job.
