Job summary

The Grounds Guys, a Neighborly Company, is seeking a Lawn Care & Pest Control Operations Manager in St. Augustine, FL and surrounding areas.

You will lead daily application routes, drive growth of the turf care and pest management division, and begin by hands-on field work while recruiting and training a tech team as clientele expands. You must be licensed in Florida, capable of diagnosing turf issues, and prepared to scale operations with safety compliance, route oversight, and strong customer

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on lawn fertilization and pest control experience
• Florida Commercial Fertilizer & Pest Control License
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong diagnostic skills for turf, weeds, pests, and plant diseases
• Leadership mindset with ability to train and manage technicians as operations scale
• Ability to work outdoors, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate application equipment

Responsibilities

• Field Operations: perform lawn fertilization, weed control, pest management, and disease diagnostics for commercial and residential properties.
• Route Management: plan and execute daily route schedules with timely applications and high quality standards.
• Property Inspections: evaluate turf health, diagnose issues, and provide tailored treatment recommendations.
• Leadership & Team Growth: assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new technicians as the division expands.
• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: ensure adherence to state and federal chemical regulations, proper storage, mixing, and logging.
• Customer Relations: communicate treatment plans and property conditions with clients.
