Tilt Landscape Maintenance, LLC in Canton and Western Wayne County, Michigan, is seeking a Landscaping Crew Leader for a full-time role. You will lead a crew of 3–6 on commercial sites, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion, reporting to the owner rather than sitting in an office.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year as a crew leader or foreman, holds a valid driver’s license (chauffeur endorsement preferred), can lift 50+ lbs, and can work outdoors year-round in Michigan.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year as a landscaping crew leader or foreman at a verifiable company.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record to drive company vehicles and trailers.
• Chauffeur endorsement preferred; if not, obtain it before start date at your own cost.
• Able to work outdoors year-round in Michigan weather, lift 50+ lbs repeatedly, and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Performance & quality: Assign work, stay on schedule, ensure cuts, beds, installs meet standards.
• Client: Communicate with customers and flag issues the same day to prevent complaints.
• Crew: Train crew, provide honest feedback, and record accurate time daily.
• Equipment: Ensure trucks, trailers, mowers, and tools leave and return in good condition; log issues.

Landscaping Crew Leader

Tilt Landscape Maintenance, LLC — Canton / Western Wayne County, MI — Full-time

Pay: $20–$25 per hour based on verified crew-leader experience and licenses you already hold. This is not an entry-level job.

The job

You run a crew of 3–6 people on commercial sites. You keep the work moving, keep it safe, and leave the property looking well manicured. You report to the owner. You are not sitting in an office.

What you will do

• Performance & quality: Assign work, stay on schedule, and make sure cuts, beds, installs, and details match our standard before you leave the site.
• Client: Talk to the customer when something comes up. Flag problems the same day instead of letting them turn into a complaint.
• Crew: Show people how we want the work done. Give the owner honest feedback on who is pulling their weight. Turn in accurate time every day.
• Equipment: Trucks, trailers, mowers, and tools leave the yard ready and come back the same way. You log problems instead of driving broken equipment.
• Safety: You stop unsafe work. No shortcuts with blades, chemicals, trailers, or traffic.
• Work mix: Weekly maintenance, installs, seasonal color, snow when it hits, and other work as assigned.

Requirements — applications that miss these will not be considered

• At least 1 year as a landscaping crew leader or foreman at a company we can call. That title must be on your resume. Laborer-only experience is not enough.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean enough record to drive company vehicles and trailers.
• Chauffeur endorsement preferred. If you do not have it, you must obtain it before your start date at your own cost.
• Able to work outdoors year-round in Michigan weather, lift 50+ lbs repeatedly, and run a full day on your feet.
• Must submit a resume. Applications with no resume will not be reviewed.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
