Job summary

Christian Brothers Outdoor Services is seeking a dependable Lawn Care Crew Leader to lead daily lawn and landscape maintenance for our customers. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in high-quality work, communicates well, and knows how to keep a crew safe, organized, and productive.

The position is full-time in Grant, MI, offering $17-$22 per hour with benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of lawn-care and landscape-maintenance practices.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable leading a crew and working independently.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Good mechanical awareness and problem-solving ability.
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in changing weather.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily lawn-care and landscape-maintenance activities
• Operate push and riding mowers
• Trim and edge around walkways, flower beds, and landscape features
• Perform basic irrigation, pruning, weeding, and mulching
• Safely operate trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, rakes, shovels, and shears
• Complete daily safety and equipment checks
• Confirm fuel, tools, and equipment are ready for each day’s work
• Communicate professionally with customers on site
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe
• Assist with snow plowing and ice removal during the winter season
