Job summary

Sloan Implement in Cuba City, WI is seeking a hands-on Lawn and Garden Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair turf equipment for customers and dealership inventory. This full-time role offers training and growth opportunities within a supportive service team.

You will work on John Deere and competitive equipment, document work orders, and communicate repair needs to customers and the Service Manager.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Service Advisor and basic computer applications preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical and renew certification annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on turf equipment.
• Participate in training programs to develop technical skills.
• Document work performed and maintenance recommendations for customers and the Service Manager.
• Stay current on John Deere and competitive equipment products.
• Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and inventory in safe condition.
• Complete work orders and required documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
• Accurately track labor and materials used on each repair.

We're looking for a motivated L&G Service Technician to join our service team. In this hands-on role, you'll perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on customer and dealership-owned turf equipment while delivering the quality workmanship and service our customers rely on. Whether you're building your career or expanding your technical expertise, you'll have opportunities for ongoing training and professional growth.

What You'll Do:

• Perform basic diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on turf equipment.
• Participate in company provided training programs to develop technical skills.
• Communicate maintenance recommendations and repair needs with customers and Service Manager and accurately document work performed.
• Stay current on John Deere and competitive equipment products.
• Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and inventory in safe, working condition.
• Complete work orders, reports, and required documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area while following all safety procedures.
• Accurately track labor and materials used on each repair.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

• Must pass a DOT physical and renew certification annually as a condition of continued employment.
• Forklift certification or experience preferred.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Pay Information:

The hourly pay range for this position is $18 to $26. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base hourly wage for this role. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
